Welcome to the web site of the Expanded Church Response (ECR). As you can see, we are "under construction"—updating our web site to encompass the work we're doing, and to show you the growing impact we are having in Zambia and beyond. God is truly at work in awakening the church to express the compassion of Christ and His power to bring about lasting change so that God's will may be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
ECR is helping the Body of Christ to have an expanded response to HIV/AIDS and more. In the midst of this unprecedented crisis, ECR is developing and promoting comprehensive HIV prevention strategies that reach the entire community, expanding hands on care to people in need in urban and hard to reach rural areas, and supporting orphans and vulnerable children.
How is ECR seeking to bring about lasting change to Zambia, Africa, and beyond? 1) ECR builds the capacity of Zambians not just to support themselves, but to build up others. 2) ECR builds in churches and communities a vision of what God wants to do through them—i.e., be agents for a community transformation that paints a picture of the redemption that God wants to bring to every life. 3) ECR builds partnerships across communities, across the country, and across the world to effect this transformation.
Join us, virtually, through the web site (when we're done) in finding out how we're at work to bring this lasting change, and then in more tangible ways by joining hands with us on this journey. Who knows, like me, you may find that your life is the one most touched.
